PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a service providing system capable of easily realizing a system regarding the service providing system to which services are provided using a public wireless communication terminal device, such as a mobile phone. SOLUTION: A service providing system comprises: a service providing device 111 which is communicable via short-distance wireless communication; a public wireless communication terminal device 113 which is communicable with a wireless tag 112 individually assigned to the service providing device 111 via a public wireless communication network, is communicable with the service providing device 111 via short-distance wireless communication and is capable of reading data from the wireless tag 112; and a server 114 which is communicable with the public wireless communication terminal device 113 via a public wireless communication network 115. The public wireless communication terminal device 113 uses specific address information of the server 114 and specific address information of the service providing device 1111 obtained from the wireless tag 112 to operate the service providing device 111, based on operation information acquired from the server 114.
