PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining structure of a translucent electromagnetic shield plate which easily offers a stable connection quality, and also to provide a joining tool. SOLUTION: The translucent electromagnetic shield plate 1 is made by interposing a conductive mesh 5 between a pair of transparent plates 2 and 2, so that the peripheral edge of the conductive mesh 5 may stick out from the transparent plates 2 and 2. A plurality of the translucent electromagnetic shield plates 1 are made to face each other so that the peripheral edges of stuck-out portions 6 may be electrically in contact with each other. Then, a pair of bet-like joining tools 10a and 10b having a predetermined width w are set face to face in a space W between the adjacent shield plates 1 from one and the other surface sides 3 and 4 of the shield plates 1. By butting the end faces 14a and 14b of the joining tools 10a and 10b, the stuck-out portions 6 of the adjacent shield plates 1 are crimped together. Preferably, the belt-like joining tools 10a and 10b are ones having a T-shaped cross-sectional shape, each of which consists of a belt-like shoulder 11 extended across the opposite edges of the adjacent shield plates 1 on one surface 3 or 4 side and a belt-like leg 12 having the prescribed width w which projects from the central portion in the widthwise direction of the belt-like shoulder 11 toward the opposite surface 4 or 3 side of the adjacent shield plates 1.
