PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device capable of performing a display with a high display quality by reducing the number of rubbing dusts attached to a display region, to provide electronic equipment provided with the liquid crystal device, and to provide a method for manufacturing the liquid crystal device. SOLUTION: On a TFT substrate 10 constituting the liquid crystal device, a circuit element layer 11, a fourth interlayer insulation film 44, a pixel electrode 37 and an alignment film 37 are piled up in this order. Therein, on the outer region in a display region 5 in the fourth interlayer insulation film 44, recess parts 441 are formed. The recess parts 441 can catch the rubbing dusts 70 produced in a rubbing process and prevent the rubbing dusts 70 from invading to the display region 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
