PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder capable of certainly feeding paper not depending on size and weighing capacity of the paper at low cost. SOLUTION: In the paper feeder, the paper S is fed out by pressing the uppermost paper of the piled up papers S to a pickup roller 1a using a compression spring 31. In order to stabilize the pressing pressure regardless of the size and the basis weight of the paper, a separate elastic body 33 is installed in series to the compression spring 31.
