PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for setting a cutting tool to a shrinkage fitting holder for mainly replacing the cutting tool to the holder in a short period of time, and also to provide a shrinkage fitting device. SOLUTION: This shrinkage fitting device is constituted of: a holder set part 4 for setting the shrinkage fitting holder 3 for holding the cutting tool 2 such as a drill; a cutting tool temporary holding body 5 for temporarily holding the cutting tool 2 to be moved toward the shrinkage fitting holder 3 set in the holder set part 4; a positioning body 6 provided on a facing side of the holder set part 4 of the cutting tool temporary holding body 5, moved to a cutting edge of the cutting tool 2 temporarily held by the cutting tool temporary holding body 5 and fixed with the abutting surface in an abutting state, to determine a cutting edge stop position A; and a heating part 8 constituted of an induction heating coil in which high-frequency current of 2 MHz flows by a high frequency generation part 7 for heating the shrinkage fitting holder 3 set in the holder set part 4.
