PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for uniforming the thickness distribution of a thin strip both in the width direction and longitudinal (casting time) direction in a long-term industrial mass production of the amorphous alloy thin strip. SOLUTION: In a flow passage inside of a nozzle for casting the amorphous alloy thin strip, the center portion is constituted of a pressure-loss member having a large pressure-loss coefficient, and the edge portion is constituted of a pressure-loss member having a small pressure-loss coefficient, thereby correcting the difference of the pressure loss due to the difference of the distance of the flow passage. As a result, jet pressure uniform in the width direction is obtained, thereby uniforming the thickness distribution of the thin strip. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
