PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus capable of reliably acquiring the state of full charge of a battery by suppressing electric power consumption by display while maintaining a display function of the state of charge of the battery when the battery is charged. SOLUTION: The state of charge of the battery 200 is monitored during charge and displayed on a compact liquid crystal display 121 with a back light to report the time required to full charge. By turning off the back light 121A at the time when the battery 200 comes close to full charge, power inputted from an AC power source is concentrated on the battery to reliably acquire a state of full charge. At this time, the display of the compact liquid crystal display 121 is made to continue, and the viewability of its liquid crystal screen is secured by an illuminant 121D, which emits light for a while even after the back light 121A is turned off to balance both the display function of the state of charge and a reliable battery full-charge function.
