Bearing shell (1) comprises two partial surfaces (2) provided on the inner edge (5) with a bevel (10) having a triangular sealing protrusion (11) at both axial ends. An independent claim is also included for the production of bearing shells with two partial surfaces provided on the inner edge with a bevel. Preferred Features: The sealing protrusion is in alignment with the inner contour of the bearing shell. The axial width of the sealing protrusion is 0.5-3, preferably 1-2.5, especially 1.5-2 mm.
