A device for fitment upon an office work station swiveling chair or which can be incorporated in the vicinity of the base of such a chair, is a body of radial dimensions greater than the diameter of the pedestal column of the chair and is designed for placement above and to rest upon the top of the central boss connecting chair legs to the support column. In one form the device is a frustro-conical collar with a central, hole extending axially completely through it; resiliently-deformable tabs project into the hole so that the collar can be force-fitted around an external wall of the bottom sleeve of a cylindrical, vertical telescopic gas shock bellows of the chair base; the downwardly and outwardly sloping external wall of the collar has advertising indicia on it.
