PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interactive user authentication technique with stability using writing. SOLUTION: A user authentication device 1 has a question/answer storage section 16 which stores question sentences and answers to the question sentences by users, and user identification information while previously making them correspond to one another, an identification information receiving means of receiving input of user identification information, a question/answer receiving means of receiving a user question and a user answer that a user inputs, and a second authentication processing section 14 which refers to the question/answer storage section 16 to perform user authentication based upon the input user identification information, the user question and user answer.
