PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital television receiving apparatus capable of presenting the content of a secure site, without taking much troubles and labor on the part of the user. SOLUTION: An http client part 5 acquires time information from an IP network 12, before starting a browser 2 to correct the clocking time of a time management part 7, and thereafter, an SSL certificate authentication part 3 implements authentication processing of an SSL route certificate for accessing a secure site, after starting the browser 2.
