PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method and a measuring device of a bottle can with a cap capable of measuring a measuring object in a short time under the same standard. SOLUTION: In this measuring method of the bottle can 2 with the cap wherein the cap is screw-shaped adherently onto the metal bottle can, and the cap has a step part formed on the fringe of a ceiling part and a cap screw part, a contour line of the cap screw part is acquired on a plane crossing the can axis O, to thereby measure the screw depth of the cap screw part, and the lower end inner surface of a leg part 52 is brought into contact with the step part and a gage head 53 is brought into contact with the ceiling part, to thereby measure the depth to the ceiling part of the step part.
