PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing cost of an expansion valve by improving efficiency in manufacturing a body, and improving material yield. SOLUTION: The expansion valve can be easily manufactured even if the body 2 is of complicated shape because the body 2 is formed by die-casting an aluminum alloy, and material yield is also improved. Further, since a power element 3 and an adjusting member 16 are fixed to the body 2 by caulking a part of the body 2, there is no need to machine thread parts at the body 2, power element 3 and adjusting member 16 to fix them, and machining is simplified.
