PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure of a balancer device and a double-hung window, which can restrain vibrations and sounds from being generated when a sash is hoisted/lowered, and which can prevent operations from being inhibited by heat from a window frame, for example, under high-temperature conditions in summer. SOLUTION: This mounting structure is used for mounting the balancer device 20 which stops the sash, ascendably/descendably provided inside the window frame constituted by framing right and left jambs 5, a head and a sill on four sides, in an arbitrary position in ascending and descending directions. The balancer device 20 is equipped with a tubular main body 21 which is mounted along the jamb 5, and a rod 26 which is provided in such a manner as to be capable of longitudinally advancing/retreating with respect to the main body 21 and the leading end of which is connected to the sash. Both upper and lower ends of the main body 21 are fixed to the jambs 5. The main body 21 is fixed in such a manner that a gap is formed between the main body 21 and the jamb 5. The vibrations and the sounds can be prevented from being generated by the swing of the main body 21. In addition, a resin component in the main body 21 can be prevented from being affected by heat, and the stable ascending/descending motion of the sash can be maintained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
