PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning agent for plastics which is used for cleaning plastic lenses stuck with polymer contamination caused by polymerizing a plastic lens raw monomer on the outside of a formwork, and contaminations such as a monomer residue, organic matter, such as sebum, and resin powder, has high detergency for all for the contaminations and can be removed from the lens by simple rinsing. SOLUTION: An aqueous solution prepared by adding cyclodextrin such asβ-cyclodextrin or hydroxylpropyl-β-cyclodextrin to an aqueous solution of pH≥10 such as tetramethyl ammonium hydroxide is used as the cleaning agent for plastics.
