PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pre-transfer guide which prevents abnormal charge occurring on a recording paper conveyed in a conveyance path when the recording paper passes through the pre-transfer guide, and an image forming apparatus provided with the pre-transfer guide. SOLUTION: The pre-transfer guide 1 is disposed at an upstream side of a transfer nip part N between a photoreceptor drum 40 and a transfer roller 41 provided in a roller transfer type image forming apparatus 2 and includes a front side guide 10 for guiding a front side of a recording paper P and a rear side guide 11 which guides a rear side of the recording paper P and is provided with a freely turnable roller 12 made of a conductive material, in a downstream-side end part thereof.
