PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for compression forming of powder, which apparatus can equalize the quantity of the powder to be supplied into the forming space of a die in a preliminary process before the compression forming, and also can form homogeneous and high density tablets by sufficiently releasing the air existing between particles of the powder supplied in the forming space. SOLUTION: Driving sources 5, 6 for upper and lower punches 3, 4 capable of coming-in and coming-out with respect to the forming space 2a of a die 2 are composed of servomotors to be controllably driven by a control signal output from a control means 7. In addition, the particles of the powder are forcedly rocked by repeatedly moving the lower punch 4 up and down in the forming space 2a with controlled strokes and cycles in the preliminary process before the compression forming so as to sufficiently release the air existing between the particles of the powder. As a result, the density of the powder to be supplied into the forming space 2a is increased, and the compression property of the powder is improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
