PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high voltage pulsed welding method capable of welding a plurality of members with high efficiency and high productivity without being affected by the material of the bodies to be welded or the like, and suitable, e.g., for the production of a clad plate. SOLUTION: In the high voltage pulsed welding method, in a state where a plurality of members (A, B) as the objects for welding are mutually butted, high voltage pulse capable of instantaneously converting a welding boundary (C) between both the members into plasma is applied to the members, and the welding boundary between the members is instantaneously converted into plasma, thus the plurality of members are welded. Concretely, by applying high voltage pulse, partial (void) discharge is generated on a fine space in the welding boundary, with the partial discharge as the start, only the welding boundary is made into plasma at a stretch, and charged particles ionized by its conversion into the plasma are recombined, thus mutually welding the members at the welding boundary.
