PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 3-oxa-7-thiatricyclo[4.2.1.04,8]nonane derivative which is useful as a monomer component or the like for highly functional polymers or the like, capable of improving characteristics such as hydrophilicity, while holding stability such as chemical resistance, when derived into polymers or the like. SOLUTION: The 3-oxa-7-thiatricyclo[4.2.1.04,8]nonane derivative represented by formula (1) [Rais H, a 1 to 6C alkyl or the like; R1, R2, R3, R4are each H, a 1 to 6C alkyl or the like; R5, R6, R7are H, a 1 to 6C alkyl, a substituted oxycarbonyl, cyano or the like; (n) is 1 or 2].
