<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag capable of receiving arms of an occupant at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: In the airbag 80, the right-to-left width W<SB>2</SB>of an intermediate part 82 is smallest, the right-to-left width W<SB>1</SB>of an upper part 81 is larger than W<SB>2</SB>, and the right-to-left width W<SB>3</SB>of a lower part 83 is larger than W<SB>1</SB>when the airbag is inflated in front of an occupant of a front passenger seat. In other words, the right-to-left width of the airbag 80 satisfies the inequalities W<SB>2</SB><W<SB>1</SB><W<SB>3</SB>.
