<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for retrieving the region of the amphipathic secondary structure of a protein secondary structure. <P>SOLUTION: When a secondary structure isαhelix, the movement average value of a hydrophobic value is calculated for the odd-numbered and even-numbered amino acid residues of an amino acid array to be analyzed, and a line graph is prepared. When the secondary structure is aβsheet, the movement average value of the hydrophobic value is calculated for the amino acid residue of every 3.6 residue of the amino acid array to be analyzed and the amino residue shifted from that by 1.8 residue, and the line graph is prepared. When the secondary structure isαhelix andβsheet, the region where one of the two line graphs is larger than the predetermined threshold is defined as the secondary structure region candidate. The region where a distance (amphipathic value A) between the two line graphs is larger than a predetermined threshold is defined as two structure region candidate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
