<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a volume reduction method of organic waste which enables a fermentation decomposition treatment by heating the organic waste without requiring any heating means such as a heater, and further, which is excellent also in stirring action of a rotary shaft direction, and produces no unevenness in the fermentation decomposition by location, and its device. <P>SOLUTION: The volume reduction device of organic waste compacts the volume of the organic waste such as garbage 11 by fermentation-decomposition treating the organic waste by aerobic microbes. The device is provided with a closed processing tub 1, a pair of screws in which a spiral orientation is reverse winding mutually and which are fixed on a rotary shaft 8 rotary-driven by a motor 7, and an air supply and exhaust means 4-6 introducing outside air into the processing tub and discharging. When the fermentation decomposition treatment of the organic waste such as garbage 11 charged into the processing tub 1 is carried out, an oxidation exothermic agent 12 containing mainly iron is used as a heating means to heat the organic waste up to the temperature suitable for the fermentation decomposition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
