<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method where general waste is incinerated at a high temperature capable of decomposing dioxins and molten slag produced at this time is subjected to setting treatment so as to have high compressive strength, thus to produce a granular or pebbly aggregate for civil engineering construction having sufficient compressive strength. <P>SOLUTION: Using a rotary kiln type incineration melting furnace, general waste of 3,000 kg is incinerated at a high temperature slightly exceeding 1,600°C, the produced molten slag is fallen into a molten slag discharging yard, is left to alone as it is, and is annealed, so as to obtain a cold slag lump after one day. The slag lump is cracked using a crusher, and is sieved with a sieve, so as to be classified. Thus, an aggregate for civil engineering construction composed of a fine aggregate with a particle diameter of 0.15 to 5 mm and a coarse aggregate with a diameter of 5 to 40 mm is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
