PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spring member, acceleration sensor, and a magnetic disk drive capable of easily miniaturization, and capable of acceleration detection in the Z-axis acceleration detection with high sensitivity even when attaining the miniaturization. SOLUTION: The spring member for detecting the acceleration in the Z-axis direction perpendicular to the X-Y plane with a movable part for fixing the magnetic field generating weight of the acceleration sensor, and the single belt shape supporting arm parts which are parallel to the plane of the movable part, one end of which is integrally connected with an end of the movable part, and the other end is fixed when no acceleration is imparted, and the movable part is supported with an only single supporting arm part with a cantilevered support.
