PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor capable of reducing excessive load to a bearing supporting a turning scroll by inhibiting inclination of the turning scroll and capable of efficient operation by enabling to use a compression chamber at fixed volume. SOLUTION: This compressor is provided with an axial gap type motor 2 turning a turning scroll 32. The motor 2 generates magnetic force in a direction along a turning shaft between a stator 21 and a rotor 26 to cancel upset force received by the turning scroll 32 when the turning scroll 32 turns.
