PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and securely fix a fixed screen 12 in a window section. SOLUTION: In this band window, a part of the window section formed continuously in the lateral direction is formed in a movable sash window and the other of the window section is formed in a fixed sash window. upper and lower styles 5, 6 and right and left vertical styles 7 are framed around a fixed screen 12 fitted to the fixed sash window. A locking fitting 14 having, at its end, a fixing piece 18 is fixed to the vertical style 7 of the fixed screen 12 so as to be projected indoors. A receiving fitting 22 having a locking groove 25 opening upward at a position corresponding to the locking fitting 14 of the fixed screen 12 is fixed to a vertical frame 3. The locking fitting 14 of the fixed screen 12 is locked to the locking groove 25 of the receiving fitting 22 of the fixed sash window, and the fixing piece 18 of the locking fitting 14 is secured to the vertical frame 3.
