PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease manufacturing defects of a substrate for a display device, by preventing a flexible plastic insulating substrate from bending in the manufacturing process of the substrate for the display device. SOLUTION: A manufacturing apparatus includes a clamp, fitted to a peripheral edge of the plastic insulating substrate to be processed and a tensing member which makes the plastic insulating substrate tensed during a process of interaction with the clamp.
