PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tool chuck for an impact tool having a vibration-proof property, especially a tool chuck damping a locking body. SOLUTION: The tool chuck is provided with at least one locking body 3 movable in the radial direction, and locking means 5, 6 having a locking surface 4 opposed to the radial direction relative to the locking body 3 so that the locking body locks outward movement in the radial direction. In the tool chuck for the tool at least partially impact driven, the locking means 5, 6 are composed of an inner side part 5 in the radial direction having the locking surface 4, and an outer side part 6, and have the constitution having shock absorption in the radial direction on at least locking surface 4. Preferably, the locking surface 4 is constituted as a softer one than the locking body 3 so as to have an elasticity in the radial direction by a material having a property wherein an imaginary part of a complex modulus of elasticity becomes the maximum, in the temperature area between 0°C and 100°C and the frequency band area of 1 to 100 Hz.
