PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasifier which decreases or does not need the heat-up quantity necessary for the gas reformation and which decreases effectively the heat dissipation from the gas furnace external wall to the outside of the furnace. SOLUTION: The gasifier 1 is provided with a cylinder-shaped division wall 24 inside a furnace which is surrounded with a furnace external wall 3. The opening between the outer periphery of the division wall 24 and the furnace external wall 3 comprises a gas passage 25. A gas raw material is heated inside the division wall 24 to make a gas which ascends inside the division wall 24 and flows out of the upper end opening 24a and then is introduced into the gas passage 25.
