PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive gas jetting device which can efficiently produce a product having high homogeneity as the reduction of transmissivity, the remaining of foreign matter or the like are prevented provide a method for producing glass where, using the device, gas is jetted in fused glass, and stirring is performed, thus glass having high homogeneity and transmissivity can be efficiently produced. SOLUTION: The gas jetting device 30 for stirring liquid such as fused glass is equipped with: a gas introduction pipe 10; and a gas storage part 20 connected to one end of the gas introduction pipe 10 in such a manner that gas can be introduced therein. The gas storage part 20 has an almost recessed face 21, and the opening part 22 in the almost recessed face 21 has an opening area larger than the inside diameter area of the gas introduction pipe 10.
