PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut a stamped ACF (Anisotropic Conductive Film) piece having accurate dimensions and a shape. SOLUTION: In cutting the stamped ACF piece from an ACF tape 54, the knife edge is previously made clean by a cutter cleaning part 58, and an ACF 34 is cut by a pair of cutters 56, 56 from which adhesive ACF chips are removed. A main control part determines the quality of the ACF piece 34b by checking a stripping scratch image of the ACF tape 54 sent from a photographing part 65 with a reference image pattern, and only the ACF piece 34b determined to be non-defective is stuck to TPC 33. The TPC 33 is press-bonded to an external connecting terminal part 32 through the ACF piece 34. Even if the hollow ACF piece 34a is incompletely cut out, therefore, the disadvantage of connecting failure is not caused. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
