摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting method and a cutting apparatus for a vehicle wheel, improving the productivity by making more efficient a cutting process conducted after a casting process. SOLUTION: This cutting method includes a following process. The outer peripheral surface 9 of a rim part is sectioned in the longitudinal direction into a rim front machining area 9a and a rim rear part machining area 9b, and a surface extending from the inner peripheral surface 10 of the rim part to the inner peripheral surface 6a of a hub hole is sectioned into a first inner surface machining area 15 and a second inner surface machining area 16, so that the areas are cut during the amount of time smaller than the machining time of the design surface 5. In a first cutting process, the rim rear part machining area 9b, a first inner surface machining area 15 and a second inner surface machining area 16 are concurrently cut, and in a second cutting process, the design surface 5 and the rim front machining area 9a are concurrently cut. This apparatus includes a machining device 20 for performing the first cutting process. Thus, the high efficiency and reduction of time of the cutting process is achieved so that generally the productivity of the vehicle wheel is enhanced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
