PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the narrow band characteristic of a reception signal, based on the restriction of a band width, and the attenuation of strength of the signal. SOLUTION: A medical diagnostic ultrasound transducer system includes a step for generating acoustic signals containing at least two different frequency bands in response to a broadband electrical signals. The acoustic signals are generated by first set of the transducer layer of an element having at least a first and a second set of transducer layers along a range dimension. The first set has one or more transducer layers. The system includes a step for receiving the electrical signals with the harmonic frequency or interference harmonic frequency of first and second frequency bands.
