PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor with immediacy capable of raising the contrast of an object, which is important for a dentist to perform diagnosis, and preventing the deterioration of graininess, since everyone says a digital X-ray image for dental use is inferior in sharpness compared to an analog X-ray image for dental use. SOLUTION: Multi-frequency processing is performed in the digital X-ray image for dental use in consideration of the size of its one pixel and the sharpness of the object which is important in dentistry diagnosis. Consequently, the deterioration of the graininess is restricted to the minimum and, at the same time, the immediacy is obtained in the processing even on a personal computer by fixing a coefficient for the multi-frequency processing on a universal operator and collectively performing the processing of emphasis correction on the operator.
