The device for controlling the axial position of the crown (23) of a timepiece having a case (24), comprises a lever (21) pivoted on this case (24) and extending at least partially above the crown (23). A first end (21b) of this lever (21) cooperates directly or indirectly with the crown (23) at least whereas the second end (21a) of this lever (21) constitutes a control element. The angular position of the lever (21) with regard to the case (24) determines the axial position of the crown (23) with regard to this case (24) of the timepiece.
