<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To consider a USB interface in peripherals connected through a USB as an object for independent electric power saving. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic device provides a communication connector for entering data signals and signals indicating an active condition from external devices, and a communication controller, in which power source is supplied, controlling data communication with the external devices.
