PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a communication system for preventing user's personal information (for example, address information) from being stolen, even when executing communication with a communication terminal (for example, an IP public videophone device utilizing the Internet) by utilizing electronic telephone directory data in a portable terminal. SOLUTION: The portable telephone 1200 transmits a response, in which the address information of one's own portable telephone 1200 as a communication origin and that of a fixed-line videophone 1100-B as a communication destination are encrypted with a public key K1002 previously imparted from a server 1000 of a portable telephone company, to a public videophone 1100 when making a videophone call by using the public videophone 1100 in the communication system. The public videophone 1100 transmits the response received from the portable telephone 1200 to the server 1000 of the portable telephone company, and starts the communication in between the fixed-line videophone 1100-B on the basis of utilization permission information M1008 transmitted from the server 1000 of the portable telephone company.
