PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas barrier film laminate having high gas barrier properties, improved in interlaminar strength, also excellent in bending resistance and printability, and suitably used as a packaging film especially used for packaging food, medicines, electronic member, etc. for suppressing the deterioration or degeneration caused by oxygen or steam, and also to provide a manufacturing method for manufacturing the gas barrier film laminate at a high speed. SOLUTION: After a vapor deposition thin film layer comprising an inorganic oxide is formed at least on one side of a base material comprising a plastic material under vacuum, a mixture mainly containing an alkali compound, which contains an acrylic compound having a carboxylic acid group and an acrylic compound having a hydroxy group, is evaporated to be subsequently flocculated and solidified on the surface of the vapor deposition thin film layer formed in the above mentioned process to continuously form a gas barrier film comprising an acrylic polymer having the carboxylic acid group and the hydroxy group.
