PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely demonstrate a specified drainage capacity by alternately operating two pumps in a short cycle even in the normal case while inhibiting the increase of a cost without installing a special operation control panel or the like and by simultaneously operating the two pumps in an emergency case. SOLUTION: In a drainage system, a water-storage pit 17 opened to the floor face 16 of a dry area DE is fitted to the dry area DE formed by a connection to a basement by integrally connecting a dry area unit 4 made of steel under the state, in which the dry area unit 4 is projected to the outside at the end section of an underground building frame 10 made of steel, and two submerged pumps 18A and 18B for a drainage are installed in the water-storage pit 17. In the drainage system, a partition wall 21 higher than the starting water levels of the two submerged pumps 18A and 18B for the drainage and lower than a flowing-water opening level 17a at the upper end of the water-storage pit 17 is installed at an intermediate place in the water-storage pit 17. In the drainage system, an overflowing section 22 connecting between the two partitioned water-storage pit sections 17A and 17B is formed in the upper section of the partition wall 21.
