PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently carry out energy regeneration by a motor, and to improve ride comfort in a vehicle. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic suspension device is provided with a first member, a second member showing relative movement to the first member, and the motor capable of at least suppressing the relative movement. A short-circuit property is set to make a tangent passing through an origin point and contacting with a curve of stroke speed and a load in the short-circuit property pass above a point which is 0.1 m/s in stroke speed and 1,000 N in generation load, or the load in the short-circuit property is set to take the maximum value within frequently used stroke speed range.
