PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reclining seat for an automobile, which can have a large sheet width and can satisfactorily maintain a sheet width even in a small body car. SOLUTION: In the reclining seat which an automobile uses, a profile appearance side panel 28 is formed in an inverted J-shaped cross-section at length extended from the front end side of a frame 16 of a seat cushion 11 to the back end side, the lower end is bored with a plurality of hooking holes 29 at proper intervals longitudinally, the upper end is fixed to a frame side 24 of the seat cushion frame 16 and is supported, then, it is extended outward of the frame side 24, then, a reclining shield cover 37 is poked out with hooking nails 41 in the front end inner face 40, furthermore, the front end is piled on the profile appearance side panel 28 from its rear end, covers the outer face of a reclining device 34, is attached to the rear side of the cushion side 14 of the seat cushion 11, and is fixed to the seat cushion frame 16.
