CHAMBER UNIT, PHARMACOLOGICAL TEST SYSTEM FOR RESPIRATION SYSTEM AND PHARMACOLOGICAL TEST METHOD FOR SAFETY

A pharmacological test system for respiration system in which pharmacological test for respiration system of a specific large animal can be performed under anesthesia-free non-locked state and with facilitated acclimation and lessened influence of stress. A chamber unit and a method for performing a safety-ensured pharmacological test on the same individual large animal are also provided. The chamber unit comprises a cage (10) for an animal, and a transparent chamber (20) having a first section (21) and a second section (22) sectioned by a partition (23). The section (21) has a door and a connection port (26) for ventilation, and the sections (21, 22) are provided with a communicating pipe (29) having an opening (29a) for introducing outside air. In order to keep a constant air flow in the section (21) under a state where the cage (10) is contained in that section (21) and to circulate air also into the cage (10), the connection port (26) for ventilation is provided in the side face of the chamber (20) and the communicating pipe (29) for introducing air is provided on the upper surface of the chamber (20).
