<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably remove communication abnormality caused by a contact failure. <P>SOLUTION: Communication is retried after driving that can possibly remove a contact failure etc., between a contact of a detachable constitution unit mounted with a memory unit and a contact of a primary image forming apparatus body side is performed.
