STEERING WHEEL EQUIPPED WITH AIR BAG DEVICE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently protect a driver by making full use of the characteristic of an air bag device 25, in a steering wheel 16 equipped with the air bag device 25 having a bag portion 26 called as a doughnut-shaped air bag.

SOLUTION: A ring portion 17 of the steering wheel 16 is tilted at a tilting angle which is 40° to 90° in regard to a vertical direction when viewed from a vehicular width direction. The bag portion 26 is structured to have a larger diameter than that of the ring portion 17 and cover the ring portion 17 when viewed from a driver head portion side in a ring portion center axial direction at the time of finishing of expansion/deployment.
