PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproduction device and a reproduction method which can arbitrarily change an output method of data to be reproduced, based on the attributes thereof. SOLUTION: Video data is stored in a file of a video title set (VTS) 72 of an optical disc 10. In the video title set (VTS) 72, video title set information (VTSI) 94 for managing the video title set (VTS) 72 is described. The viode title set information (VTSI) 94 includes a table (VTSI_MAT) 98 for managing the video title set information 94. In the table (VTSI_MAT) 98, the attributes specific to the video data stored in the video title set (VTS) 72 are described.
