PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interface for enabling a preparer to efficiently input data relating to a program such as the setting and definition of different protocols and the setting of the correspondence of each protocol. SOLUTION: A device for supporting protocol conversion programming is provided with a protocol correspondence input processing means 101 for defining the data configuration of a communication protocol in a plurality of communication telegraphic messages and/or the correspondence of data between communication protocols based on input data, and for generating the data of specifications relating to conversion. A protocol correspondence input processing means is provided with a property code defining part 102 for defining a property code for each property of each communication protocol for a property to be added to the data of the communication telegraphic message and a property corresponding relation defining part 103 for defining the correspondence of the properties between the communication protocols by associating property codes defined by the plurality of communication protocols and the values of the properties.
