<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prohibit getting on an elevator car when the elevator operation is interrupted by notifying not only the passengers in the car but also people waiting at halls of the intended interruption of elevator operation. <P>SOLUTION: In the condition that the car 2 is stopped at the prescribed floor in association with interruption of the elevator operation, a door opening/closing device 18 senses that the door of the car 2 is opened fully, and an interruption guide is issued via an intra-car voice synthesizing device 16.
