PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically perform a lighting system control appropriate for surrounding conditions. SOLUTION: A surrounding condition determination section 12 determines surrounding conditions using outputs of a navigation system 42, an intervehicular communication apparatus 43, a camera 45, a road-to-vehicle communication apparatus 46, a vehicle speed sensor and so on. A headlight operation control section 13 performs switching between high-beam lighting and low-beam lighting according to surrounding conditions, changes in lighting distance or range, setting lighting thresholds and switching of control modes. Furthermore, a cornering lamp control section 14 performs involvement in lighting control of a cornering lamp and changes in lighting ranges of a cornering lamp 53. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
