PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use the storage area of a disk drive. SOLUTION: A free capacity detecting part 104 monitors the free capacity of a disk drive designated by disk switching information stored in a disk switching information storage part 101, and detects that the free capacity is less than a threshold shown by reference free capacity information. When the free capacity of the disk drive is less than the threshold shown by the reference free capacity information, a switching part 110a switches the currently used disk drive to the disk drive designated by the disk switching information as a disk drive to be used for storing log data.
