PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regulator circuit capable of significantly reducing the difference between an input voltage and an output voltage. SOLUTION: In a regulator circuit where a varying voltage is used as the input voltage (battery voltage VBAT) of a transistor 10 while a voltage output from the transistor 10 to a load 13 is controlled to a predetermined voltage lower than the input voltage by feedback circuits (14, 11) connected to the transistor 10, pentode operation of the transistor 10 is carried out until the input voltage drops to a voltage that is higher than the predetermined voltage by a predetermined value. Once the input voltage has dropped below a voltage that is higher than the predetermined voltage by the predetermined value, triode operation of the transistor 10 is carried out until the input voltage drops to a predetermined voltage.
